Some of you may recall I mutted an idea of getting the 110 covered in some graphics to Highlight the abduction of Maddie McCann during our upcoming hols. We will be touring the South of France and Northern Spain.
Well heres some piccys of the work. It was donated by Spectrum Signs and Graphics at Newcastle under lyme who of the many companies I contacted were right on my doorstep compared to others. They have not put any of their details on any of the work but I feel it's only fair to acknowledge their contribution, Especially Darren who worked very hard this afternoon to get the job done so it's a big =D> =D> =D> =D> from me.
The idea is purely to raise awareness hence you will notice a sign on the rear windows in Spanish and also French. Whilst alot is in English were hoping that it also spurs others on to spread the word on their Hols to even if they only drop off a poster at their hotel / camp site reception.
I still live in the hope that I can switch on the news and go peel it all off... sooner the better!

well one thing it wont go unnoticed..
the thing is with the madeleine story is how come finding her is more important than the kids that go missing in this country every year?
not saying it isnt and its a big plight and being a parent myself can feel for the parents but i also feel for the others who have also lost their kids who dont get as much media coverage (i feel more for these since they havent had the coverage to get the public's help)

Firstly Lee...
Superb mate, I tip my hat to you.
In the 3 years I have been in the Police I have dealt with 100's of missing persons (mispers)
I would say 80% of them are regular mispers, kids who have family issues and have legged it to a mates house. Or kids from the local children’s home who go missing daily!
Then 15% of them are adults with marriage or financial issues and want to "Walk it off"
The last 4.99% are kids who just have had a problem that cannot handle the end result and have gone to a friends house or the local hang out park. Or have gone off with one of the parents after a bad divorce.
Then there is .01% that are the true abductions, I have never been involved in one of these and hopefully never will.
These are very rare.
I'm sure most Police officers will agree that the Perception’s of Crime are worse than crime its self.
