The sony ericsson W850i.. its a beast!! i love mine to bits!!

only problem.. you have to plug earphones in to listen to the radio.. but you can listen to your mp3s through the loudspeaker..

I have a Nokia 6210.

It is perfect for my requirements;

Plus points;
It rings, I can make/answer phone-calls, it fits a full hands-free kit in the 110
It doesn't take pictures, tell me the time in Hong-Kong, bake chocolate cake (or whatever all the modern phones do now?)
I don't have to have one of those giant hearing aids clamped around my ear

Minus Points;
It's not compatible with SWMBOs car-kit (she has a Nokia 3100)

Another vote for the N73 here. Great phone, solid connections to the masts, good battery life (for a 3g phone), great camera/video, bucketloads of apps, including Tomtom, viewranger (uses OS maps), etc.

I've got one that makes phone calls and apparently it has this 'text' facility on it. Not a clue what that means though.
Apparently I'm going shopping for a Betamax 'Video Cassette Recorder'!

I'd just lke one that works.  I've had the MD Vario for a year now and I have had to resort to plan B again when I go to collect SWMBO from work, when I get there I throw the 'phone at the window, that and the sound of a V8 alerts her to my presence.

Yep, me too, and I have a car kit fitted, just like yours.

The phone is more than five years old and it has never given me any problems, bounces well if/when I drop it and the battery still gives me days and days on standby.

I have thought about changing it, but I really can't think why I should..........  All these new fangled phone things which make the toast but need replacing every six months I don't care about taking photos on my phone, after all I don't make calls on my camera.

lots of good features and it seems fairly strong - although the first thing i did was buy a decent case for it...

The battery is going a bit on mine, it's a pity that the Lithium in my previous 3310 doesn't fit as that was very long-lived

n95 with viewranger software for os map gps.

no problems with mine since i updated the firmware on it. battery life is a bit rubbish but can be spared by turning off most applications until you actually need them.

Dont get a Samsung U600 :evil:  Camera is pants (even though its 3.2mp), touch sensitive buttons are a real pain when trying to navigate menus.
