Is that the physical size of them then Mike?

The given size works out to 31.64" x 10.43"

And would that make the 235s 33 tall x 10.5 wide?

One differance between the 2 is that 265/75 are speed rated at Q compared to the 235/85 which are only rated at N

Therefore the potentially more robust tyre capable of higher speeds gets my vote.

The other reason for the 265 is based on traction experiance then on soil (mud) a tyre with a bigger contact area can generate more traction. potential on wet grass the 235 should have an advantage, but not by mutch.

physical size

33's for 31 money  8)

the 235's & 265s are both the same physical height just the 235s are a fair bit narrower & look a bit naff

Mike, is that a SAT or a Mud Plugga?

A standard SAT is about 32" new, but reports I've heard is that remould Mud Pluggas are about the same height as Insa Turbos ST at about 33".

If its a SAT then the more noteable differeance is that one is an 8 ply carcuss compared to 3 ply.
