Our dog Shadow, is 15, Bex took her to the vets today as shes been coughing like a 60 a day smoker... (the dog, not Bex!)
the vet was surprised at her age, although shes a bit plump, has brown teeth, and a bit grey on the muzzle, going blind/selectively deaf ...shes apparently in good conditon.... looks like were stuck with her for a bit longer then!

i`ve known a lot of dogs see 13-14, and heard of my mums friend, who had some small yappy creature for nearly 20 years!

anyone know of any similar cases?

Gypsy, my Border Collie, is about 15.

We're not too certain of her age, as she's a rescue dog from NCDL (now 'Dogs Trust')
Upon adoption, the examining Vet reckoned she was about 3 & we've had her 12years

We have a 14.5 year old order Border Collie and a 14 year old Golden retriever. Both are quite deaf which makes getting them in last thing a night at PITA sometimes as I have to go search the (one acre) garden for them. Both still love their walks, but admittedly finish a lot slower than they start. We think they have a year or three left in them yet.

weve got a lurcher who is at least 13, but were surprised shes survived this long due to the state she was in when the missus got her, she actually seems to be getting healthier and faster the older she gets! On the opposite end of the scale weve got some 2 week old pups as well!      (not from the lurcher though!)

Dad had a lurcher which was the runt of the litter and got parvo when it was a pup he nursed it all night and it lived till it was 22 years of age. But after that one he had another died at 7 years of age. Than he had a half breed lurcher from david hancock it live till 5 years. But it takes him 3 years to get over the dogs. He's just had a 3/4 breed lurcher beardie/border X greyhound blue merle wall eyed from hancocks
