defender mate, at least they are worth repairing, discos, and i love to bits, just eat cash and never worth anything, the defenders dont rot quite as catastrophically as a disco, and has a good strong resale value.my humble opinion anyhow.
uses are typically commuting (10miles) trips every month or so to west yorkshire from Durham, collecting firewood, tip runs, shopping (the daewoo matiz is a revolting car, if i have to go shopping.. i drive the truck!) dogs, house restoration stuff ranging from bags of gravel to fence panels, plasterboard etc.. carbootsales (buying & selling) with the trip to pay & play sites, byways, odd lane and occasionally moorland/fields (whilst working with Durham County Voluntery Rangers)although i dont get out in the mud much, i do like to push it....
I'd go for a Surf personally here's one towing an orange thing out of the !Expletive Deleted!.
I genuinely find the 90 more fun to drive, better in town (visibility, parking, etc)... though a bit of a ball ache on a 2 hour plus drive.
Go for the 90. Worth more, last longer, perform offroad better. Simpler. Timeless classics. My 2 cents.Simon.
dont listen to them....buy a freelander
