There are a few around, if you could afford another grand you'd be fine, but I should think you'll get something half decent.  Have a search around, a couple of us chipped in to another recentish thread with pointers on where to look and what to look for.

I'll let you know Sunday!...
Apparently the 101 is in good condition & runs sweet as a nut.  The Ambulance body has been stripped out, this is ok as he wants to turn it into a camper anyway...here's to 10hours in a 7.5Tonne recovery lorry to get the damn thing!! ](*,)

I'm sure you already know this but make sure your recovery lorry has a payload of at least 3.5 tonnes.  The ambi is plated at 3650kgs.  I've been told in the past that they really need a 13tonner to transport them.

That is a very good price! average for an ambi seems to be £3000 or thereabouts.

You need a very big truck to transport a 101. took me ages to find someone to move mine when i bought it.

Well as promised here is the pics....it fitted a treat on the recovery lorry.
The 101 is solid & has some minor faults, should be MOT'd by the end of week...£1200...bargain  8)

You could always buy one that actually works, and drive it home...
