ok number one, the rear side doors are stuck shut seems like the door catch dodar has snaped/felloff they seem to be abit rusty (master of understatement) so anyone any idea how to open/how they work

number 2 anyone got a wirein diagram for one? the previous owner went campin in her and managed to make a nice hack job of the wireing

number 3 after gettin her home she refused to start on the key spent a while messin before it got 2 dark an managed to bump her ignition all works ok an theres a relay clickin in there somewere when the key is turned to *start*

thats basicly what i am stuck with atm will post some piccys tomorow and install my devil duck,

the starting problem could be the starter motor clicking menaing there is not enough umpfh left in the batt to turn over.

If you take the door trim off the inside you will see the linkage for the lock... lift up & hopefully will open door!
Starter sounds like solenoid is stuck or bad termination on strater motor.  I'd take all the connections off, give'em a clean & tighten them back down again.  Also do that for the earthing strap & battery connections.
Enjoy
Did everyone see that?  Because I will NOT be doing it again!

I doubt that engines a VM, all the VMs I've seen have the turbo down low on the drivers side or have been transvers in which case the turbo was on the end of the block above the clutch.

Does it look like one of these?

The 2.8 Isuzu engine is a common conversion

Regards the starting issue, first make sure you have a known good battery or try starting with a battery charger.
Check would be to listen if its the starter motor is making a noise, if so what noise? (there may be other solenoids making the clicking sound)

If nothing, then using a multi meter or bulb check for voltage (key in the start position) on the small wire to the solenoid on the starter motor.

If theres voltage then the starter motor but nothing happens then investigate the starter motor.

If there is no voltage then trace the wiring back for signs of damage to the wire and check any other solenoids are good. i've had a standard solenoid click as though its working, but wasn't actually making a circuit preventing my fuel pump working.

If you turn the key to on so the dash lights are on, short out the big wire and small wire on the starter, if it starts, then its not the starter, if it doesnt, then its either the starter, or no power getting to your starter motor!!!
Mine was the same, Is the clicking noise coming from the fuse box or engine bay??
If its the fuse box, then check to see if all the relays are earthed, usually a eye end wire in black.
Also check that the engine block has a meaty earth lead connected to the chassis and its in good condition!!

It looks like the 200 but the exhaust manifold and turbo isn't like mine.
The rest of it, the fuel filter, housing, FIP ect. all look 200

Thats definately a 200tdi, as for the funny boxy thing, Elser were a US company that made tracking equiptment, limiters and locators for cars. My guess is that its an early speed limiter or governor, where does the wires go??

No quick fix, just leave the roof bolted to the sides, and unbolt the bottom of the sides, loosen the bolts at the hinge inside the cab at the front, then lift the whole thing up and prop it up, thats how im doing mine next month
