Servo Vacuum Pump Question - NOW FIXED
« on: August 03, 2007, 09:52:03 »
I'm going to replace my servo vacuum pump tomorrow with a new unit as the current one is bleeding oil quite badly, Half the underside of the Disco is covered in oil and so's the drive (SWMBO not happy :(  :(  :( )

My question is after reading my trusty Haynes manual it say's I need to have the engine at TDC in order to change said pump! Is this really necessary or can I just swap them over in what ever position the engine happens to stop at...???

Thanks in advance

Mark.
