However the hell you like really, Disruptive patterns should be fairly random, on green I think they are commonly wavey bands of black across the green, trying to include tyres and corners etc.

On sand the patterns can be a series of overlapping cricles sometimes called mickey mouse becasue it looks like mouse's ears.

Just don't use too much black.

i think some of the point in the camo is that there is no set way to paint it ;)

(unless you are american as im sure ive seen paint-by-numbers style diagrams for how to paint variuos us army vehicles)

have a google for some camo vehicles and base it on those. Maybe draw the lines on in marker pen or with tape first.

I think I might do the Sankey in DPM as it's going to be a mamoth task to get it looking smart again.

Best way would be to paint whole vehicle green, then be creative with the black to get the look you want 8)

they're not symetrical, and thats about the only rule :) paint the whole thing green, then band the black across.

as someone has already said, include the corners... but not necessarily all of them

The idea of camouflage painting is to break up the outline of the vehicle, check out some of the military websites and see what they do, it has been known for some unit to paint all the vehicles the same disruptive pattern by vehicle type (makes them look good on parade :? )

Green and black is the main one used, although you are not too worried to be doing for a tactical situation (I hope)

So you have the pleasure of demonstrating your artistic talents

You could do a nice one and do all for sides different patterns, one standard blocks, one small stripes, one tiger striped and one say cheetah :D

Saw a nice one round notts earlier this year it was painted up as a jigsaw!

My personal favourite is still the Berlin Brigade pattern for urban camouflage

Have fun

Not every problem can be solved with duct tape, and it's exactly for those situations we have WD 40

Mian rules are to include the corners and do it so it ends up 2/3 green, 1/3 black.  Thats about it really - there used to be an AESP on it, but it never gets used as folk just get happy with the brush and crack on.
Son, life has a habit of kicking you in the ass and i only have vague recollections of when it wasn't kickin mine!

If you want the proper military look, just don't wash it first!

Paint everyting that's not rubber, glass or lights green. Then just paint randon black shapes all over the vehicle. Just avoid straight lines, and don't worry about keeping the shape completly on the vehicle, or a specific side.
