Afternoon all ....

Anyone come across a proble with burning out the sidelight/dipped beam switches... I think its on the side light side thats theres a prob but not too sure... Just thought I would check to see if theres any easy fixes before I go in and rip the dash to bits.... its on a 1991 Def. 110..

If you mean the short 3 position stalk on the steering column - then yes, I've been through at least 4 on 3 110's!!

The contacts just let go after a while - maybe I'm too rough with them.....

Buy the right one - yours will come with loose ends on the wires needing spade/bullet connectors.  The later models have a nylon oush fit block and cost about £40 from memory

Steering column covers need to be both undone (screws under bottom section and 4 recessed in top section.  Real pain to fiddle over the key assembly (make sure the key is out!).  Putting back together is worse just finding the screw hole underneath.  Contorionist and use a feeler to locate the threaded hole first before putting the screw in worked ok.

If its not this then good luck anyway......! Age

I was done!!  Should have tried Paddocks myself - glad you're sorted.  Cheers, A.
