« on: August 08, 2007, 20:17:14 »
I'm thinking of selling my number plate L90 OOK as I sold my Td5 90 back in Jan & have no plans for another.

Cheers

I have S10 SDR on retention, it has been on a couple of plate web sites and they guarantee to get me £500 for it, that was 18 months ago and I still can't sell it, have had it on ebay twice and it didn't even reach its £200 reserve!  It is a good plate though so should be of interest to someone, as mentoned though it's only worth as much as someone is prepared to pay for it.

I sold L800 ONG a while ago, which was on a RRC LSE.  That got £500.

Lots of these reg websites will give you a silly valuation just to get your business then force you to drop your price to sell.  I have two 3 x 3 regs on the Landies here, valued at £1,000 and £3,000, but they would only be worth half that on a good day in the real world.

Don't forget the £80/£105 DVLA fee which the buyer will have to pay.

Stick it on eBay ~ you'll get what you get.

a lot of personal number plates are personal to you (hence called a personal number plate) so they may not mean anything to someone else, therefor they will not buy them.
