Freekin' headlights !!!!
« on: August 09, 2007, 18:52:25 »
For some reason they are staying on all the time.
I pulled every relay i could find and disconected the switch so it seems there is a short somewhere.
Does anyone know where the headlamp relay is !!! just so i can make sure.
For those that dont know Goth Thing is a 200Tdi

I had a similar problem with some spot lamps and it turned out to be a bad earth.

Well on the RRC it's bolted to the dash subframe undert he RH end of the instruments, it's a small black or silver box with shallow fins for cooling.  That doesn't mean it might not be somewhere else on the Disco

My 200tdi didn't have a relay on the head lamps and went Directly through the switch ( one of th reasons they burn out so often), I have added relays now which has improved headlamp brightness, so i would say check the stalk, hope this helps.
