Quote from: "abyssdj"in the older ones you'll generally find older looking interior trim, Bit of a vague statement to use about 90/110 or Defenders, even the new 07 model is fitted with older looking interior trim.
So there is not much difference between them in the way they drive or the suspension etc.. Is one easier to mod than the other ie. spares availability and modified components?ThanksPhil
The chassis suspension and bodies are the same modding 1 is eaxactly the same whether 90 or defender. The defender was renamed to coincide with the introduction of the 200tdi which came out in 1990 before that apart from the 2.5n/a and the v8 there was also a 2.5turbo diesel. They were 1st produced in 1983 with 2.25 petrol or diesel engines & sliding windows but these were changed in 84 to winding windows. and the 2.5 N/A diesel, and 2.5 petrol engines

no they had windy windowsmy truck started life as a na with lift up handles & windy windows
LIAM...have ya finished JUGS...
the name Defender came in because the Americans couldn't deal with a vehicle with no name
just found this thread as ive been away for a while.early one-tens had sliding windows , ninetys never had.
they also had galvanized body cappings and sill bars , defenders had just steel ones.
the doors had lift up handles with a pull handle on the inside.
the bonnet on a ninety opens via a key and lock above the grille.
ninetys had the old type lt77 that couldnt take the later cross drilled input gear and suffered badly from input shaft wear.
ninetys and one-tens were almost experimental as they were a brand new design and underwent numerous changes before they became defenders.
once again he dont no wot he is talkin about
So you would say they have been put in!!! So you could not buy a Land Rover 90 Defender like that then?
