Could any one tell me where the best place is to buy a small lift for my XJ....

I found a 1.75" lift for £140, but was after a 2" - 3" lift but I have been quoted £1,100 for a 3" lift!! is that about right??

Also any tips for fitting the lift would also be great

Any help appreciated  :D

We have just bought a 2.5" lift kit. rear springs, front springs, U bolts and Pro comp shocks £500 delivered.

http://www.explorerprocomp.co.uk/

Fitted them today, no problems and it seems a god solid kit.

With the exchange rate as it is, I would import from the states. Try 4wd.com quadratec.com rustysoffroad.com kevinsoffroad.com
Don't be put off by the perceived hassle - there's no more hassle than ordering from this country and you'll save a packet too.

Yup, Try http://www.rocky-road.com/xjbudget.html

Had loads of stuff off these guys, and their service is great.

I bought the 2" buget lift. £70 plus delivery and import duties / tax's, worked out at about £125. It was very easy to fit, and didnt break the bank.
