New toy.
« on: August 13, 2007, 15:29:14 »
In a moment of weakness, we bought this over the weekend. Seems to be pretty straight and, apart from the profusion of chequerplate, pretty unmolested...... not for long though   The dog is not included in the purchase as far as I understand

Should be picking it up next weekend.

My 110's chassis is getting to the 'chasing rust' stage and I don't want to get into a full project by changing the chassis. So, I was looking for a 90 truck cab, but the hard top will be far more practical for us.

Question: Am I able to use the OME dampers from the 110? I appreciate I'll need different springs.

This is a 2.5 TD, but I won't part with the V8 yet. I suspect it will find it's way into the 90 at some point  :D

Thanks Mike. I assumed that was the case, but thought I'd check with the experts first!

Most of the kit will swap over from the 110. I'll live with the old 2.5TD for now and see how I get on with it. I do like the V8 so I suspect I'll go that route at some point.

I agree about the chequerplate.... a bit tarty   I don't mind it on the wing tops and bonnet. It serves a puprose there, but the sides are bit much!

I'm all sorted with a room booked in Yorkshire on Saturday night and the insurance is in place  :D

I'll run both vehicles for a while until I'm happy with the 90's reliability. Then time to rip the 110 apart

Devon 4x4 used the same springs on their challenge 90, as they did onthe OBC 110 tryaback, if that helps.
