I feel part of the gang now, even if the lady I recovered gave me a fright.
Close to my home is an area called Dinas Powys that has a road that connects Dinas to Barry, it gets a lot of traffic through it, especially at rush hour. Well I was in this queue of traffic as i'd suddenly come to a stop and further up it became apparant that there was a Freelander with the hazzards on facing me, broken down.
Drove past it, no one in it, gets the the road about and I see this lady with her 2 kids, hiking it back home. Asks if its hers, she says yes, clutch has gone so I offer to tow her home. Does a U'y on he roadabout and back in the jam the other way
As luck would have it she has broken down next to a farmers field enterance so with me and a van driver we had her facing the right way.
Asks her where she lives hoping it would be on the flat and she replies, up that big hill - darn
Gets her kids in the back of mine so its just her in the Freelander, they thought it was great, all Maddys toys in the back, they were having a whale of a time
Starts towing her and i'm sure her Freelander is still in gear as it was hell of a struggle to get going. Over the hill fine, coming back down the other side she panics as she got a bit closer to me and shoves the brakes on. I'm like 'this is great' all of a sudden major snaking left to right and slowing down very quickly, looks in the rear view, she's there - thumbs up
Got her home and she says its the dreaded 1.8 petrol model and this is the second time it has happened to her, she'd also had the head done as well recently.
Luckily I stopped otherwise she was gonna leave it there til her husband got back home blocking a carrage way.
There we go, thats my story
