IIRC the standard head gaskets for a 300 TDi are composite gaskets anyway but they come in three different thicknesses, dependent of what is already fitted.
So you don't know which one you need until you take it apart!!

I not heard of an uprated version of the composite though, I know the composite gasket is an upgrade if you have a V8 with the older tin head gaskets.

iff yourve rebuilt the engine might be worth checking the piston protrusion as its this that deters which thickness off h/gasket you need, the other thing i'd go for the old elring type not the new multi type steel gasket .heard a few reports of oil leakage when fitted. in fact ive one here some where.alan.......

Not sure if you can get uprated ones off the shelf...

But I would make sure I bought a genuine part one!

try here http://www.cometic.com/custom.aspx we used them for head gaskets on the drag bike they were a bit steep price wise but the quality is second to none for a bike they were about £85 but never blew even with nos an high comp pistons .They dont list landrover but they do make one offs...

i know there are companies who produce kevlar headgaskets, but you`d have to google to find one...as its faaaar too late for me to be on here!!

It has been said that, given enough time, a million monkeys bashing at a million typewriters would eventually produce the complete works of Shakespeare. Thanks to the Saxo forums, we now know this to be wrong
