WHAT summer?

I must have blinked. All I know is that its now Late August and for someone who doesnt feel the cold, its getting cold already.

Global warming my ....
I must confess the the activities of the UK governments for the past couple of years have been watched with frank admiration and amazement by Lord Vetinari. Outright theft as a policy had never occured to him.

Problem seems to be when we get what little sun we also get wind of the pole so even when it's sunny it's cold.
This all to do with jet stream which has moved because El Nino producing cold water (at equator by Puru) and we think we're know that we're responsible for global warming.

Yeah, but you miss the bit that El Nino changes because of heating of the Pacific, which is caused by human-induced climate change.  Somebody said the other day that the Gulf Stream had changed, meaning those of us in northern Europe were getting lousy weather, whereas those in the south (eg Greece) were frying.  If this is the case, then we're pretty much stuffed, as it's the Gulf Stream which gives the UK a climate which is disproportionately warm for its latitude.

We did have a summer this year, but it was back in April and May IIRC.  I remember some great weather back then.

Global is crap as is the summer! This year was meant to be the hottest ever, remember the warnings in the winter?? Drought, hose-pipe bans, heatwaves? Rubbish. On Tuesday in Kent the weather tart on the radio in the van was saying 'some scattered showers in the east, clearing'. Kent on Tuesday was like Bangladesh in a the storm season, I know I was on a bloody roof swimming about directing crane ops.

So if our weather dudes cannot even get tomorrows or next weeks weather right, how the hell can they tell us what global warming will mean for the next century?? Tell me the next year's weather accurately, then I will listen to your doom mongering!!

And for fun watch this guy get upset....

I'm already starting to wonder what sort of winter we're going to have, seeing as it's autumn already, all bar the leaves on the trees.
