"Carasuki" What do you think..
« on: August 24, 2007, 17:48:58 »
Been working on this for longer than we thought  #-o  ](*,)  but its finally finished  :D  and very useful

A RECIPE TO GET A DAY PASS WHEN YOU WANT (and she says "but we wanted to spend the weekend together as a family") or is that just mine!!

1st Buy a cheap old van off flea-bay £180

2nd Rip out all the bits you don't want and sell them back on flea-bay,
Water Heater
Fridge
Awning
Kitchen Sink Drainer and Taps
Zig distribution unit
Few Bits and bobs
£250 ish income

3rd Take 1 BFH, 1 9" Grinder & 1 Jigsaw and ATTACK  [-o<

4th Lose all the bits you don't want

5th Move the toilet cubicle up the front inc fold down sink with auto water pump  :D (running water what a luxury), install fold down 2 hob cooker with grill =P~ (fresh bacon & sausage rolls & fresh tea on tap)
2 bench seats with storage under   (well why not) 12v lights, radio, and DVD hook up (all for the kids you understand) install fire extinguisher and first aid box.

6th  Buy a second 1ton axle and 4 meters of 4" box section and reinforce the chassis   BOLTED AND WELDED (well you cant be to careful)

7th Drive the Sammy on and hold your breath  [-o< phew it didn't collapse \:D/

8th Add a removable tarp & have some wicked days out with the family every-ones happy  :D  \:D/

And still about £60 in the pot so the rear disk conversion is on the cards  :P

Very creative, I'm impressed!  Were you tempted to leave the back of the 'van intact and use that bit as a roof over the top of the Zuk?

You get some strange looks from other road users though! Having followed him for a while a few weeks ago, the number of 'second takes' from drivers coming the other way was funny.

Yes very tempted to just remove the back ( like a mobile workshop)and the sammi would have just fitted inside but i would have had to climb out the rag top as i couldn`t have opened the doors

Steve it does cause some funny looks but its not as bad as when you saw it last as the sammi perched on the back makes it obvious what its for   when i toe it without the sammy on i have actully witnested people scratching their heads as i pass them.
