You need to buy one really, unless you're a pretty competent electrician.  Lots of people seem to sell them;  have a flick through LRO, or google around.  I found this thread which might be of interest.

I presume you're thinking of the fridge?  It's a nice solution to the problem, but it will probably work out quite expensive.

Hi,

No not the fridge, we've scrapped that idea now. Its just for all the lights, roof lights, the hellas, also we're getting twin rear work lamps very soon. Also for anything else we may get.  :)

Personally if you are not running a winch, fridge or large ICE I'd fit a larger alternator (90-120amp) & have done with it.
Fitting a second battery wont help in the long run as you are still taking out a large current & then trying to top up two batteries with the same alternator.  Net result is you'll have two dead batteries!
As the roof lights & working lights are on a small percentage of your driving time it seems an awful big expense & hassle fitting twin batteries when a larger alternator should do everything you require
Did everyone see that?  Because I will NOT be doing it again!

Hi,

Ok then, sounds about right then, an uprated alternator. Thanks for the info. BTW, do you recomend any websites selling them?
