ok ive just found out that i can get flash codes of the ABS ECU to found out a fault, but is the same method of putting in a light/wire into the 16 pin socket, able to work to found out any fault codes on the ECU

i no the must have thing is a ravocom, but im trying to cheet here  :D

If the ECU conforms to ODB-II then you should be able to get 'flash codes' for all the faults. Try having a Google :)

There are also ODB fault code readers on the market that will make the job easier.

To read the codes for 300tdi see attached (V8 can't be bridged  :cry: )

To erase codes you have to access codes and whilst flashing faults disconnect bridge wire for DataLink. Reconnect and repeat if you have more than one fault code.

If you have fault code(s) let me know and I'll look it up.
