main beam on N/s blowing fuse?
« on: September 01, 2007, 13:14:54 »
having just splashed out on a set of new bulbs (to replace the candles that wer in) i`m no further... the N/S main beam had blown, but after replacing bulbs, the fuse is popping each time..

there doesnt seem to be any obvious issues, although the main beam wire on the O/S is nicked quite badly, could this  be blowing the N/S????  :?

Have you checked that the cable isn't down to earth some where (megger it out).

That's the only thing it could be, unless the fuse is under-rated for the new bulbs

fuse is 7.5A brown.. as are the rest..

I`ll have another look next time its light and i`m not committed elsewhere!

the wiring has been chopped a bit courtesy of the previous owner, i`m thinking this may be leading to a naughty somewhere along the line..
