Talk about Nasty Surprise
« on: September 05, 2007, 20:41:01 »
MY bank have just contacted me about my credit card account, and the fact that its overdrawn.

My card expired over a year ago and I've not been using it. So I queried it and challenged the fact I've not got a card.

Last transaction was aparently a few weeks back, cut a long story short, I have a second cardholder on the account.

My Ex

And Each month after I've paid my installment, she's had it back out again! Cancelled the second card and now I have to do battle with customer services to convince them that this is fraud and wasnt authorised. I dont even know where the moo is.
I must confess the the activities of the UK governments for the past couple of years have been watched with frank admiration and amazement by Lord Vetinari. Outright theft as a policy had never occured to him.

The statement might give you some clues as to where she is and if you are divorced then I'd think it's also theft.

Yup,, definitely theft and fraudulent use. Unfortunately, as the primary account holder it is up to you to prove that you haven't authorised the second cards use.
