DERV DOCTOR ....USE WITH CAUTION....
« on: September 06, 2007, 16:17:37 »
YOU ONLY FIND OUT HOW GOOD A COMPANY IS, WHEN A PROBLEM ARISES.......

HERE GOES... ordered a dump valve kit off them yesterday, paid extra for next day delivery, as I am off work...
Stressed how important it is that I have it today, and was promised 1pm guaranteed delivery.
Waited in all day,(which as i'm sure you know is a day waisted) and guess what ????? Not shown up..
Rang to complain, and 'college boy' picks up the phone....Gavin (the boss)could not even be bothered to come to the phone, because he had a 306 in that was more important !!!!!!!

DERV DOCTOR took my number when I placed the order, why can't they ring to say there would be a problem, I would of driven to Ashbourne to pick it up.......

I HAD A 5 PAGE SPREAD IN TOTAL OFF ROAD MAGAZINE, FOR SUPPORTING THE BRITISH COMPANIES, SO NOBODY CAN SAY THIS IS NOT FAIR.....AND I'M BOOKED IN FOR ANOTHER PHOTO SHOOT SOON, CAN'T WAIT MENTION THE 'DERV DOCTOR'

None of the magazines will mention anything bad about their advertisers though.  Not in this game.

Cheaper to make your own kit....  not that hard to do!!

Although won't really make any difference on a diesel... just means you get a clatter, clatter, clatter, whooosh, clatter, clatter, whoosh.....

Rather than just clatter, clatter, clatter that a diesel normally makes lol

Pardon me for being thick but....

Wasn't the idea for a dump valve meant to be used in turbocharged petrol engines where the excessive boost from the turbo upstream of a throttle butterfly would cause them to bend?  So a dumpvalve was used to remove the extra pressure from the system so to prevent damage?!
AFAIk a Diesel works on an WOT (wide open throttle) so there is no throttle butterfly just the pump which controls the amount of fuel entering the engine. So therefore the need for a dump valve is entirely superfluous.  :?

It does allow the turbine speed to remain higher, so you get less lag if you get on and off then back on the gas pedal.
Go on....cut me in half........it says SUZUKI all the way thru the middle!!

An the lag issue as Rolla mentioned. I dont t5hink there is really much point on an engine like this though :) Still each to their own, Audi bleeds off into the exhaust so I get PTCHHHH crackle crackle.
I must confess the the activities of the UK governments for the past couple of years have been watched with frank admiration and amazement by Lord Vetinari. Outright theft as a policy had never occured to him.

ive used derv doctor before and also was very unimpressed. in fact now i come to think of it im still waiting for the instructions and fuel pump settings that i got bored with chasing after repeated broken promises.
would definately never touch again with a brown stick.
Theres no such thing as the wrong sort of mud!
