picked my 110 v8 up friday dinnertime from garage, spent muchos dinero on her (in 4 figs) and friday afternoon the crank decided to leave the block, (without permision).
im over the moon!
misses is doing her nut at me as  she accuses me of wasting money :o
on the upside, have now a new 3.9 v8 on its way to replace the 3.5, told i will have about 50bhp more, is that right?

V8 3.9 You say my poor mate came to the pboro show today and talked about v8s all day trouble is he an't got one yet and was a little depressed  when he left the show.I will have to tell him about yours so his misses can go on about wasting money

Depends on tune of the engines, lowest figure for a 3.5 I've seen was approx 114hp for a 3.5 carb in a 90/110 where as the 3.5 EFI high compression in a RRC was 165hp which is a 50 hp increase on its own.

the 3.5 was bog standard 110, but its getting a nice new 3.9 with lightened and balanced crank and flywheel, then skimmed heads but i think they are using new standard cams etc.
got to be better than not moving at all.!

You'll notice a big difference with a good as new 3.9 over a tired 3.5 8)
I would get them to rebuild it with a performance cam & gas flow the head...
Let us know how it goes :D
