No low ratio

Hi again ;)

I've lost the ability to change between high and low ratio.  Searched the forum and found the dodgy linkage problem, so have taken the centre console and the rivet plate off, had a look at the top of the box and the linkage is all moving ok.
Diff lock is fine, can see the linkage moving the lever on the t-box, and theres the click when it goes into place.
Can also see the other lever on the t-box moving, but theres none of the usual clunk etc. when it goes into high or low ratio. The stick just flaps about.

Is this something I can have a look at at home? (No garage, working on the street) If so where abouts do I start looking next?

thx in advance :)

edit: it's a 200tdi, LT77 and a LT230

Hi there i came across this fault a few times, if the stick and linkage looks fine, then remove the remote housing from the top of the transfer box, 6 13mm bolts, in there you will find a cross shaft with a fork and a retaining bolt, the bolt comes loose, leaving the fork free to move on the shaft, tighten the bolt jobs a good one, hope this helps  :D

w00t, cheers Mick :) I'll have to fetch you a pint or two.

.....................housing..................................................yoink....................................................loose bit

All sorted now, high and low ratio back! Was praying that it wasn't something more serious, a bit limited with tools and space on the street outside.
There was no gasket under the housing which was a bit odd, had to bike down to the local landy place to fetch one  #-o
