Sorry guys, you've all named your motors and I didn't
What got me started off road was a 1997 Vitara. Went to Tong with the Rhino Club (now sadly defunct) and was totally hooked.
So Vitara 1600 - P/X for
Grand Vitara 1600 2005 Bought new and only offroaded twice.
Still got it.
Isuzu Trooper 2.8 TD - Chassis rot and broke too many bits
Range Rover 3.9 EFI - Again tinworm and loads of electrical faults.
Spent more time fixing it than driving it.
Series 3 Y Reg. The bloke who sold me this saw me coming.
Great bit of rotten chassis hiding. The bulkheads were good tho
Fourtrak 2.0 petrol. Very good motor. Only got rid because a
back injury. The ride was pretty hard, but good off road.
Frontera Sport 2.0. Converted to pickup with 2" lift. Actually sold
this for a profit. Drunk with money I then bought:-
RRC 3.5 EFI Auto. Converted back to twin carb and currently
suffering from gearbox problems. So finally - bought today
Jeep Cherokee 4.0 L Petrol Auto. Electric everything, leather and
in very good nick (for now :(bigwicked): )
So I've actually reached 9 now. I'll have to change my sig when I can remember how to do it. :P
So what do you do with 3 motors? Well the RRC will be my green lane and mud playing toy (when fettled). The Jeep is for my 100 mile plus regular trips for treatment and general load lugging and the GV will be used by my new lady friend. She's not into offroading

Tried it once and didn't like it: glad she doesn't think the same way about everything
Still I think my point is made, once you start this game you always think that something can be improved or a new model is better or you break something terminally :)
Cheers
Keith
