Pikey Fly Tippers Near Thetford!

Been out for a drive today, first time the Fourtrak's been out in months..... saw some pikey's that I reckon were looking to empty their tranny.... anyway I've got phone pics of the tranny and some rubish on it and a lovely one of the driver.....

I'll go out for a drive Tuesday eve and see if they tipped! would be stupid if they did - assuming plod does something with the pics!

Send the Pics in to the local council, enviromental health and a statement of what you saw, time and dates.

Also send them into you local neighbourhood policing team.

I was out on the lanes this morning and saw 2 piles of rubbish and it makes my blood boil!!!!
If i am given evidence it will be followed up always.

off topic slightly but the title of this post is racially and culturally provocative and stereotypes the travelling community as being rubbish dumpers.
I know before i get flamed that this could be taken as a factual statement but as we are being moderated for referring to a muslim woman in a niqab as being a racial stereotype then surely this must also be taken into account.
My wife runs a pre school and she has a set of guidelines she has to abide by regarding this sort of thing which to cut to the finish would result in a court case if she were to use this type of reference during her work day :roll:

anyone else have any thoughts on this bearing in mind i,m butting in on someone elses post here(sorry)

If the evidence is there action will be taken. There are people that I have put up to the courts who are several thousand pounds poorer, for fly tipping.

well my mum got hit off her motorbike last year by a car being chased by the police, and the police still havn't got the swines, so they were even there and still didn't get anything done.

and i was behind her on my bike when it happened.

she has now had to have 7 ops on her leg so they put me in a bad mood

I'm sorry to hear that about your Mum,MF. Not a pleasant thing to happen, and I hope she makes a quick recovery.
Unfortunately, I have also dealt with incidents (too many it has to be said) where the suspects have not been caught.
However, I'm a great beliver on fate, and that they will eventually be pulled in.
I totally agree with what Boggert says. Send the stuff into the local teams and let them deal with it.

56 plate tranny tipper, full towing gear, 3 suntanned, dirty looking, related (looking), blokes out for a drive on a green lane, apparently they do landscaping and garden sevices you can call them by mobile only..... maybe you did and it was your rubbish they were tipping for you!

Now round here that ticks 10 boxes out of 10 and you only needed 2 to declare PIKEY!

the point i was trying to make was the terms used are now considered to be racially provocative by the pc brigade, i have no doubt they were on the look out for a dumping place but what i was saying is if the forum is moderated for one racial stereotype then it must be moderated for all.
we had a case of travellers near me where they were told to go away by the land owner but wouldnt then the local bonfire society used travellers as the theme for their bonfire celebrations, this resulted in the organisers being raided at dawn and taken away by the police for racial incitement

I'm not going to get into a big argument over this, but in a nutshell, the Muslim stereotype was an example of a story which had been deliberately fabricated (not by the original poster, mind) to put across a strongly negative racially stereotypical viewpoint, in order to provoke hatred.

This thread describes somebody's personal account of a story, and in this sense I don't think it is particularly more offensive than if somebody said "a sikh guy cut me up on the A4 earlier."  Is it insensitive?  Provocative?  Not really, no, and up to this point we've not had any complaints.

Regarding racial stereotypes in general, personally I don't find the word "pikey" racially offensive any more than I find the word "chav" racially offensive.  It describes a type of person;  it does not have particularly negative connotations towards a race (unlike, for example, the n-word).

I'm seeing a world of difference between the anti-muslim post being referred to and this particular thread.  If anybody feels unhappy about this thread then feel free to complain using the ! button and the mods/admin will consider whether it needs to be locked or removed.

thermidor i wasnt trying to get into an argument but the commission for racial equality would differ about the word pikey being offensive, i merely was trying to say that if you were a traveller reading that statement then it is racially offensive to them, its not at all like saying " a sikh guy cut me up on the A4" as that statement is factually correct however if you said some P**i cut me up" then that is racially offensive.
If the CRE were to look at this thread i think they would be of the view that the term pikey is offensive and derogatory to the traveller community.
I personally am not offended by it but as a responsible forum i think it needs to be taken into account.
my friends wife reported to the police that "some pikeys were moving into the field opposite" and she was cautioned that her term was offensive, crazy i know but this is the world we live in

OK, I stand corrected.  I'll bear this in mind;  but the muslim post (a) wasn't moderated, and (b) was commented upon on the basis of its content rather than its language, so at this point I don't think there's any action to take on this thread.  Far be it from me to over-moderate :roll:

You ARE joking? Named and shamed is a concept with little effect on the pikeys.
Resident itinerant workers perhaps, caravan thieving pikey scum moving on every few weeks to pastures new don't give a (insert adjective of choice) and if likely to be persued disappear on a ferry to return with a new passport in a different name....

Is but one example, of course the local cowboy builders who don't want to pay the excessive taxes involved in proper disposal also fly-tip, as do numerous people who can't be bothered with driving to the council tip when its open...

Surely if you dont have pics or actually saw them tip then you have no proof.
Last time we went to Thetford there was a similar situation think they was garden services to; we looked all down the lane for signs of tipping but could find none!!!
