Side window thickness

Ayup... I've got a couple of sides to go on my 110.
They already have window "holes" in but no glass..

What sort of thickness glass should I be looking for..Are there any problems in using a similar thickness in Perspex ??

As I really fancy some smoked perspex..lol

I think side thick usually is 6mm thick
 There are advantage to using perspex being light
perspex scratches easier than glass and goes translucent(lets light though but can not see through it) with age
I have been running a 4mm thick sheet of perspex from B&Q on my Ifor William puck Body Cover and have recently replaced it after 4 year as I could no longer see through it

hi i fit bus and car glass all day ,standard automotive glass is 5mm ,you could have glass made up in smoke colour.if you fit perpex its not very strong. and cracks very easy .wot you need is polycarb but it is not cheap its fitted to police vans ect and near unbreackable ,there is also lamanated glass same as windscreen,you can buy smoked, i used to do a landrover ambulance last year.hope this helps
