I have to say, I'm left totally cold when it comes to private plates.

L9 RVR?

What's that supposed to mean?

L9?  LG?  L'?

If  I drove an LG RVR, then maybe it would make sense, but I drive a LAND ROVER! :)

"Ultimate private plate for your Land Rover"?  Surely it could be just as ultimate on your Buick RiVieRa?  Or your RoVeR Metro?

Personally I'd say L4 NDY is about as ultimate as you're going to get for a Land Rover, but hey, what do I know :)

Personally I'd rather spend the 500 quid on something which actually *does* something  :wink:

When I went to a DVLA auction some time back now,
I bid on what I would call the ultimate number plate,
It was [LR 44] or was it [44 LR]

Would of looked great on the motor as [LR 4x4] or [4x4 LR]

It went for alot more than I was willing to pay. :shock:

Came away with a nice one in the end, Sold it now and made a few quid. :D

And a nice peice of kit aswell....  :D

Yes & it is on one as well, if it's the same picture I saw.

Round here I see 'S6 EEP' (Sheep) on a 90 Hard-Top, usually coupled to a stock trailer.
Noticed a 110 Pick-Up with 'V6 COW' leaving a dairy farm

One of our Doctors (now working with rich old ladies on Cruise Ships) had 'B16 DOC' (Big) on a Porch 911

I did see the ultimate Yorkshire plate in the papers recently, I thought it was great, sadly it would have to be illegaly modified;
'E61 GUM' (E-Bi-Gum!)

Defender 110Td5 'Heritage Gone, but not forgotten
Jaguar XKR; X88 JLT, also 'gone, but not forgotten'

Oh & Sheffield Childrens Hospital has 'S999 SCH' on an Intensive Care Transfer Ambulance.

Chrysler have 'WOW 11OT'  (WOW HOT) for their Viper press cars.

Then of course there's all the registration marks that manufacturers own, eg;
'AMV 8'
'911'

Personally I'd like these plates (& the appropriate vehicles);
'S110 CSW'
'TVR 500'  :lol:  :wink:

And of course I'm biased about having a 'personalised plate', unaltered & 100% legal (not like all the JEEP wallahs with their 'J33 P..'
