TV on PC for £20?
« on: October 16, 2007, 22:20:15 »
Is this too good to be true. Has anyone got this facility to see worldwide TV for only £20?

The concept sounds good but is it possible or is it a scam?

I'm not going to install all their plugins etc, but I'm guessing it's basically a nice pretty frontend to all the free TV internet feeds you get from around the world anyway.  There are a few out there.  Some are free.

If you want freeview on your PC, get a tv arial to it and buy a USB DVB-T card for it, they're ~£20 on offer regularly at places like Ebuyer and Dabs.

Alternatively, do a search for "MyEasyTv" and it links you to loads of free internet TV sites. Some are crap, but can usually find some racing or something to watch. There is a tab on there that's unsuitable for kids though ;) so be careful!

I managed to acquire a copy of this TV software PCShowBuzz, it's crap, most of the 1500+ TV Channels aren't channels, they are movie trailers, old soap episodes held on a server somewhere, or don't play.

The software was uninstalled about 30 minutes after installation, it's totally naff, anyone paying £20 for that has been well ripped off.
