OK shoot me down
« on: October 17, 2007, 14:53:09 »
I am looking for a new Tubular winch bumper to fit me 8274 onto, I want one with a A frame on it but with the side that taper out (not straight down) the only one I can find and like is from Scrapion  which is £381 inc vat plus £30 delivery.

Is there anyone else I can go to before I commit a sin.

Is it just me or is there something seriously wrong with the tracking on that Defender?  :?

It's you. The inside wheel turns further because it descibes a shorted arc when goin' round corners. I'll admit the photo angle makes it look exagerated, but it seems about right.

.....unless of course, the steering wheel is in the dead-ahead position!

In regards to the opening question, there's a plethora of supplier copying the Equipe design (like the Scorpion one above) and they wade in at a range of prices. If it was my money though, I would be looking at the D44 bumpers. Not the cheapest, but very proven and resistant to direct nuke-strike. Well, almost anyway!

That, and the fact there doesn't seem to be a tie bar fitted...

Is that the fitting for one just visible to the right of the off side wheel??

Knowing Landy build quality......!

But yeah, as Mike says, it is a fitting on the O/S hub but they're common hubs for domestic and overseas markets.

But well, spotted.  8)
