Any good?

Ive got some 235 85 16 BFG AT's at the moment - nothing wrong with them, just need something more aggressive now its muddy.

Has anyone got any thought on this make?

Ill be looking at either the special track ones, or the dakar which is a copy of BFG MT tread.

Cant afford BFG this time, and i dont do many miles. I know they wont last as long, but at half the price, remoulds is all i can afford.

I currently have 235 85 sahara's, when they need changing i'll be going for the special track in the same size, they're slightly higher than a 265 75......  i wouldn't buy insa's again if i weren't happy with them!
gone from 200tdi.... to 300tdi... still with loads done to it, in fact, even more than the last truck...LOL!!!

The special looks rather aggressive, and it might be a tad < nice try, but there's a manual word filter too   > on the road..

Do you know how many miles your last set have done?

I've done about 6k on them, the previous owner did about 2 maybe 3.... and they still have about 6mm of tread left, so roughly half worn, but mine are ripped to shreds due to the high useage offroad!!!

hello,
i have insa turbo special track tyres on mine got them about 6 weeks ago and have driven about 4000 miles on them, completed landy rally with them, i would buy them again so far so good, not used in the mud yet but they grip so amazingly well when going up the gravelled skii slopes in northen france at val'disere no loss of traction at all!!

im impressed, but i will warn you though they are noisey on the road but look on the bright side you always feel like your in anaeroplane taking off

cheers kieran

I have the Special Track on mine in the 235/85 and can they find grip

I first tried them out at Abingdon and I was trying things you don't normally think about like starting from a standstill near the top of the steep banks I was very impressed with them.

Like most tyres if you fill the tread up with clayie mud you'll lose grip but other than that no problem

I have my first trial since I got them this weekend so hoping for some decent results

I've got 265/75R16 special tracks on my offroader and i'm very impressed with them both off and on road.
In claggy mud they just keep going, i did a full weeks offroading in north wales and they were taking the rangie all kinds of silly places up banks and through soggy woodland...
