Ladies and Germs......
« on: October 22, 2007, 16:57:26 »
Please say hello to MATILDA.

She's a 1981 Series3, diesel. Bit of work to do, like repainting the Magnolia bits to a more suitable colour, fitting a legal number plate on the front, redoing 50% of the bushes (will go for the whole lot, obviously) and weld a couple of spots on the undercarriage (nought structural).

P.D.: (note to self) gotta find my copy of Photoshop. those pics are massive for the web.

Thanks, Elmo, had forgotten about the resizer completely.

The spare wheel has to leave in the back until we find a new frame for the bonnet.

Oh, fair enough. £800.

It is shared ownership, mind you. It was the only way a friend of mine and me had to work around our respective SWMBO's objections.

Not many. A snorkel is definitely on the list, as well as changing/repairing the diesel tank (slight bump underneath, it weeps a tad), rewiring (at least the dynamo was substituted by an alternator). An overdrive or transfer box conversion is being discussed and we are trying to locate a reasonably priced hard top for the winter period. That's about it, for the time being.

It has G90 tyres, so I very much doubt we'll need to raise the suspension.

Other than that, some wax oil, me thinks. That would be about it.
