I did the school-run this morning.
Right next door to the school is the West Yorkshire Police Training College, as we walked up the street to the gates, I saw
thisIt looks like one of the CAV (Composite Armoured Vehicle) bodies, with numerous other features- from my brief hurried look;
'Wolf' air intake covers
Military front (recovery) bumper
JATE rings
130 wheel rims
Hand-rails along the roof (observation hatches?)
I'm presuming it's an ex-Northern Ireland vehicle, there wasn't anyone to ask.
A while ago I followed one of the 'full-on'armoured/anti-riot 110's as it was heading towards the force workshops (near jct 41/M1) but it was inide the compound before a photo-opportunity developed.
I understand from another forum that every Force in the country has to have 'Public Order' vehicles at its disposal.
