sorry mate but you are way wide of the mark with that. The reason young driver have small engined cars is not because they want them, its because they cant insure large engined cars.
HmmDriving down to Hallfords to get bits to sort an exhust leak today.CLANK BBBRRRRRRROOOOOOOAAAARRRRR RMMMMMMMMMM, PHUT Whistle ROOOAAAARRRRRRRDoesnt a 200TDi sound different with no exhaust? Downpipe fell off :(
surely it is a case of everything in moderation? My old Mini used to have a straight through 2" bore single box system on it. It went like stink and howled like a demon, but, I drove it in such a way that I didn't cause annoyance to people that lived nearby.

Downpipe fell off :(SWTSMBO lost the middle box front joint (and almost the whole box), when it failed she drove it home past several police officers, none even looked at her...The replacement straight pipe sorted the problem with broken down and tail pipes the diesel disco's are prone to with the monster front box swinging load on the system.
Clamps you used where about one size too big so wasnt biting quite right. Dont know when you did that but xxx months of swinging free looseded that back to front affair on the manifold. Great globs of gun gum and a new U-Bold and its fixed.I WAS about 20 seconds from sealing the sleve you used from hanging to the exhaust till I woke up and realised it would acheive nothing at all :)
