Bedford TM, or Scania???

I'd have either. Perfectly happy with a 'Hobbit' or the Pinzgauer.

The'Hobbit' Club

Why 'Hobbit'??

Well it's a Haflinger (named after an Austrian mountain Pony) & Hobbits were 'Halflings', so it's practically the same

I've driven one very simular to this: http://www.pinzgauer.uk.com/images/G41.jpg
It went like stink and very east to drive on road and cross country.
The one I drove had a nice de-mountable Warn winch on it. :D

Yes a TA unit near me has those beauties, they love em, even with the gun on the back they fly, very powerful at pulling off road as well

They used to have 101s before and were useless at towing

If you think Pinz's are good, you should see a Supacat HMT in action, this is a big 4x4, croos between a Hummer and a Pinz, we do some work for them(Laser Cutting), and there best story is when they were doing a demo in the dunes in north devon. As the HMT was a new demo vehicle, only the Pinz's were let into the dunes, about 30 minutes later they walk back, both stuck, so they the HMT drove the the nearest Pinz, drove around it 3 or 4 times to prove the point, then pulled them out.
There is now 80 or more being built, most proberbly finished by now, and in service.
Great suspension design, with central air bag linked to wheels in formula style, so a the touch off a button, it will lower to the ground, or raise up 600 mm or so, wish my landy did that.
85% OF ALL LAND ROVERS BUILT, ARE STILL ON THE ROAD,
THE OTHER 15% MADE IT HOME ;)
