Low Red Arrows
« on: October 31, 2007, 16:00:43 »
Does anyone know why the R.A.F Red Arrows were flying over Wellingborough at 3 pm today?

They came over my house so low that it rocked the house and woke me up

That was cool the first time I went back to sleep but the second, third and then a forth time not so pleased.

They were flying in a dimond formation (spelling?) Anyone know why?

Was cool to see them as it always is but why so low?

They pretty much practice all year round, even get a holiday to Cyprus to practice.

MUST HAVE BEEN THEM FLYING BACK A BIT LATER JUST AFTER DARK, THEY OFTEN NEARLY CLIP THE BARN ROOF HERE.
LAST YEAR WE WATCHED A TWIN BLADE HELICOPTER FLY *UNDER* THE PYLON CABLES OVER THE FIELDS, THEY TAKE THE PEE OUT HERE, OFTEN SHACKING THE BUILDINGS.

The amount of aircraft, airfields and ranges in the area is known as RAF Lincolnshire!

Ah, that'll explain the shouting then Guardian, deafened by low flying jets.

Cheers
