what a week!

had a right [rough] week this week. tuesday night i thought id take the peugeot out instead of the disco to do a bit of shopping. went round to see a mate as he was off work ill on the way for a brew, remember leaving his house and the next thing.... waking up in hospital! apparently as i was going down the road an oncoming mitsi L200 decided to turn right over the top of my little peaugeot. It then took the fire brigade half an hour to cut me out which im quite glad i dont remember. so now im out of hospital with a busted knee, i'm not allowed to drive for a week so i cant work (not good- im self employed), and theres nothing on the tv i want to watch. i also have a one year old staffy cross which is hyper and wondering why her walks have been so short! The only good bit is that the police are going to do him for dangerous driving as there was a witness to it all.
If only i had been in the disco or my 7.5 ton armoured truck

You have to sue him for every penny mate, the insurance will wriggle out of paying for the pug and who is paying your martgage? savings, not fair.
Only problem is as self employed you will have to prove you have actually lost work, it's a shocking system that puts no value on your own time when anyone who works for themselves knows time has a value.
Go for every penny you can, it still won't be enough, and make sure that knee is 100% too. When I injured mine they told me I'd get arthritis when I was older because of it.

Lordy, thought mine was bad.
Top tip, if you want an insurance company to settle up quicker, take out a hire car on their dollar
