Gone and done it now.......
« on: November 03, 2007, 19:34:43 »
....as of next sat I will own my third land rover.  After 2 110's I'm joining the Disco  :D

Today I put down a deposit on a R reg 300 Tdi Series 1 ES Premium. It has a full main dealer service history (96K miles) and a very good body (like myself, not). I have not seen one in such condition before. It's an auto so it's not the nippiest but I'll get used to that.

It's got all the mod cons, cd changer, air con, lecky windows and mirrors and even heated seats. The wife and kids will be comfy but boys at the club are gonna think I've gone soft.

Ah well, back to being skint again !!!!

I'll put some pictures up next w/e.

Thanks for the help everybody provided with my questions over the last week or two.

Nice.

My sister has a 300TDi auto RRC and that shifts pretty well, it's just had a new head and injectors that have made a big difference so if your new car is pretty standard I'm sure you can wring some more power out of it with a good clean up, EGR removal and pump tweak :)

Naargh, did not have the bottle in the end. Found it on autotrader.

Interestingly, there was a very nice one in Berwic upon Tweed, spoke to the guy about and it sounded a bit of a bargin. However, after a few disappointments i did n't have the appetite to sit on a train for 4 h for nothing if it did not work out.

Pictures on Saturday night boys.

Best wishes,

David
