Why we all love landrovers
« on: November 04, 2007, 07:10:31 »
friday evening i went and bought some reclining bucket seats and set about fitting them down at my father in laws, got one in straight away sweet as a nut then it got a lil dark so we duplicated the plates to make it fit to the other side and called it a day, so i started the car up in the lane round the back of his house and this funny clunking noise at tick over so we popped the bonnet and my viscous was spinning and wobbling all over the shop

so looks like a new water pump and viscous, problems didnt end there
the nob who had the car before had welded the viscous, just took a few little progress pics so £100 later here we are

you can see how the old seat had collapsed and broken at the back not clever for offroading these seats

you can see how worn the old water pump is

look at the dodgy weld on this

and the 2 finished products, sorry gotta keep the seat covers on and down the bottom ,new pump, viscous and belts
