Aerial - Poor Reception
« on: November 07, 2007, 13:57:23 »
Hiya

Ive got an aerial fitted to the roof of my 90.

The radio reception is rubbish. It fuzzes and crackles all the while, but gets worse in town centres.

How should it be mounted? I think it might be touching somewhere where the aerial goes though the roof.

Any Pointers? The aerial is new.....

have you got a suppressor or something fitted to the alternator

i remember i had to fit one to cut out engine noise on my old fiesta, dunno how old your car is

plus is the coax that goes from the aerial to the head unit intact and connected properly... the more likely cause.
