Cubby box fitting ???

Advice please on how to mount a cubby box in a Defender 90. Only way I can see is to mount it to the plate between the seats and the screw the plate back in place, is this possible?

Iv'e got the one from scorpion racing and it came with a mounting bar with theaded bar welded to it .It was just a case of drilling holes and getting under the 110 and doing the bolts up .Took me about 1-2 hours.

My old 90V8-CSW actually had threaded inserts in the centre cover-plate

But, both 110's have had to be drilled & the boxes bolted on

I used some of the plastic captive nuts used for the floor sections in the plate. Just had to drill, then file out to square to fit them. Then used the same screws as the floors through the base of the cubby box. They are dirt cheap, even from a main stealer!
