if i ruled the country...
« on: November 09, 2007, 23:08:58 »
heres a thought, but if i had the powers to make it so, i would rethink the car tax theory this way:

tax is calculated at MOT time based on your nasty particles emission, thus more people are encouraged to better maintain their vehicles, use less polluting fuels, and best of all, everyone could have a V8! (on lpg - or possibly landfill gas..or even cowfarts)

would also mmake a few changes in the immigration department aswell.. (dont wish to offend anyone tho)

perhaps a collabortation of ideas could be sent to 10 downing street?? :D

It has been said that, given enough time, a million monkeys bashing at a million typewriters would eventually produce the complete works of Shakespeare. Thanks to the Saxo forums, we now know this to be wrong

The dictatorship would never look at any ideas from the poor (under 100k a year) and if you live outside London your all hics anyway, if its not happening in London its not worth talking about.

Don't apologise for bringing up immigration it should and has to be talked about, there are too many people in this country. The transport infrastructure can't take it and we're resorting to building houses on flood plains. The country is very small compared with France Spain and the likes we can't keep building houses and roads.
London's congestion could be sorted by trebling Business rates there is no good reason for them to be there with the communications we have, and it would share the wealth around the country.

Can you re-tune your car to run on imigrants

Serioulsy though, road atx is just robbery,if they want to encourage us to use less fuel then put the tax on the fuel.  Trouble is with this bunch of robbing sods they put the tax on the fuel and keep putting road tax up too.
