There's a knack to it, but I never sussed it!  In the end I just left mine poking out...  Good luck!

Mines been sitting about an inch out for ages ,I did get it all the way in once :D  but then I had to do the clutch and it hasn't fitted since

I think it's the arial comming straight out of the back that stops it going all the way in so I will be checking the RS book at work to see if they do a 90 degree plug .Failing that I might make a surround about an inch thick and be done with it.

they never go fully back, but yesterday on ebay i found a surround for a tenner, bit steep but if you dont want to leave it loose.

search for discovery stereo spacing collar.

What mr Denviks said.

Also, there is a piece of soundproofing directly under the back of it- cut it out CAREFULLY with a stanley knife that gives you and extra few mil, I found my foot helped too.

patience, patience, patience......

Connect up the ariel and other cabeling and put radio into hole.

Gently pull ariel cable and speaker cables from behind dash......., using long, thin screw driver, push cables to the side as you gentle press home the stereo...... An    is to spray the cable sheath with lubricating liquid to make them slide through the bulkhead hole.....

Jobs a gooden......., mine always fits correctly  :D

i had this prblem with mine theirs a bracket welded to the bulk head that you have to break off and remove a bit awkward as when youve broke it of you then have to bend it to get it out but then the radio fits perfectly
As a youth I could run up and down stairs all day now I'm older it takes me all day just to walk upstairs

Has the same issue, thankfully the CD changer jacks are right angled.

Just take your time and pull as much wire through as you can.

Academic in my case as I drowned the radio last night :(
I must confess the the activities of the UK governments for the past couple of years have been watched with frank admiration and amazement by Lord Vetinari. Outright theft as a policy had never occured to him.
