New TFT arrived today (Day late) Via the PO.

Despite the fragile labels, 2" of bubble wrap and slab of 4mm mdf...

Shattered :(

I'm not even gonna rant now, its just depressing. The MDF has a crease where the whole thing has been bent.
I must confess the the activities of the UK governments for the past couple of years have been watched with frank admiration and amazement by Lord Vetinari. Outright theft as a policy had never occured to him.

Way back when.....

We used to mail odd things to friends all over. Stick an address label and a stamp on a potato, a carrot, a swede etc. It started to get silly - i.e. mailing toothpaste - minus the tube.

Oddly it used to arrive - bit whiffy normally, or re-packaged because they thought they had broken it .....

Lots of fun was to be had mailing ripe pears .....

Of course I'm 20 years older now

How on earth did you manage to get that into the postbox with a stamp and address label on it?

The PO seem to be a bit variable. Our local posties and sorting office are brilliant, they'll leave stuff in a known safe location without being awkward about it needing to be signed for. However, even they despair of the people in the next office up the line!

Two suggestions have been made.

Daz, not allowed to post weapons. However, a bowling ball should be postable.

As would a large powder extinghisher, condom over the top sans pin in browm paper packing. You know the mess those things make :)

My mate who used to go away to sea got a big life sized nude model and cut it up into smaller sized bits then posted the bits (like a jigsaw) from countries around the world and as I recieved them I stuck the pieces together  :D

After about 40 peices from around the world I had a life sized naked female in my kitchen  :D  (good job I was single at the time)
