finly the other month got the gf to buy a landrover all be it a freelander
 nice little thing it is too R reg less than 60k miles 2.0 diesel soft top anyway its far better than her 306 disco or 90 would have been better but there too big so she says
anyway was driveng alone back down to my house and off chaple gate a bunch of  nice looking landys pulling on the road so as always i flashed  as i was driveng and i always flash in my disco got one out of 4 or 5 to wave now in my disco  98% of other offroaders wave WHATS UP WITH THE FREELANDER!!! lol anyway what u think i should do to it to make it know its from landy mad household (well i and anyway) all my landys have light bars but iv yet to find anywhere to mount one on the roof of the freelander any ideas quite tempted to get a roller fairleed and a bit of wire rope and a hook and make up a fake winch sticking out the bumper what you think carnt go too mad as she dont want it looking daft so she says as if my disco looks daft with 8 spotlight my tyres cb arial ect ect ned ideas is i feel a outsider when i drive it

This is how I mounted lights on my old freebie,just used an old roof bar on the rails,worked well with black sunroof panels.

would have been better to keep the 306 at least that would have pulled you out of the mud

yeh ok i admit i have seen some heavily modified freelanders that look good... but they are rare!

Earlier in the year i had a moment to spare so got the forklift out and tested the articulation on our cars. The LR 110 was by far the best, but the Freelander way exceeded the Suzuki Samurai i had at the time  :shock:  :lol:

We now have a 2" lift and 215 BFG AT tyres. Does everything we ask of it. And, yes, it does go off road  :lol:

I was out laning with Schuee at the weekend, it was tipping it down with rain and some of the lanes were very sticky. Dispite running road tyres with only about 3 mm left he didn't get stuck once...

Was a sight watching you crab sideways along the edge of that field!  :lol: Good driving mate!

Been out a few times with a mate who had one. Very capable the only let down was the clearence. Then again it all about reading the turrain and picking the best way forward.

Prefer the old Freebies to the new ones. (Personal opinion)
