Best thing that could have happened.

Maybe they will WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE. They've been rubbish for ages - just getting through by the skin of their teeth. Let them lick their wounds and hopefully work out that they lost because they DID NOT PLAY WELL.

But, of course, we can expect the Media to blame the coach, who will resign and get replaced by someone else with no clue, probably from some foreign country ;-)

They won't ever ever accuse the overpaid pretty boys ... oh no!

If when football was on TV the supermarkets were full of footballs and sports equipment maybe we would be better.

Be instead football = Larger, so no wonder we are a nation of drunken fatties who cant play the game.

And the incoming targets for the press will still have to use the same few bladder kickers from the same few clubs or get their bags packed pretty quickly....

And the rest of us will be bored to tears either way...

Earlier I was watching Sky news with the sacking story as a lead item.... Jeez with the amount of coverage anyone could be forgiven that it was a national disaster such as going to war again

Get a life.... its only a flippin game :?

bosses pick you to do a job,,,you fail and get sacked.

question is,  did the government orchestrate the losing of the football match to dampen out the accusations of incompetence over the loss of pretty much half of the populations bank details in the same week they've announced we should all have ID cards...

Conspiracy theories, ready... steady... and Goooo!
