Not sure if this has been mentioned before if it has sorry

Saw this on TV they are trying to get the service providers to sort out slow broadband speeds by naming and shameing etc so the more info they have the better.

Ah, but you're being charged the same as someone in an urban area who's getting the full speed. This is what annoys me about digital TV - we're not scheduled to get it until the switchover but we still have to pay full TV license!

Back to topic, I got just over 4mb download and just over half a mb upload.

I suspected that Be would be like that, since for up to 8Mb I get less than 2Mb.

I suspect that I'd only get 6Mb if Be was in my area and I was paying for the 24Mb, it's all a rip off.

Imagine buying fuel like that, you may get 8 pints in the gallon, but mostly you get 2 pints!

I understand from a computer techie that these tests are a bit like a chocalate fire guard! But it gives an idea of how bad it is in the UK.

We are on the end of a very long line, but we only get 500 or so download on a '2mb' deal. This is still rubbish compared to other countries.
