Had my first session of off roading at the weekend in my mates disco and loved every minute of it. Want to get into the off roading seen but only being 23 and on a tight budget. what ever i decide to get will be used as a second car so need something as reliable as possible and to start with will only be used for light off roading and green lanning untill i know what im doing :D

Ok for local use, very harsh on the road, fun in small doses better than the Vit offroad!

SJ's are getting harder to find in reasonable codition. Vits are OK I'm told, but why not compromise and go for a Jmny, for green laning use they're cracking with just a 2" lift and some MT tyres. On the road they're OK especially round town and on shorter trips. If you want to get more serious Jimny's are now turning up at Challenge events.

the sj/samuri is an offroader that can go on road
the vitara is a road going 4wd that can go offroad.
